Affordable Accessories: EQC & Co + Arbotique Designs

Do I love jewelry? Yes. Do I like spending a ton of money on it? No. While there are definitely some pieces I think are worth the splurge *ahem*, I honestly just can’t afford them.

I have sensitive skin that is highly reactive to metals like nickel, which means I have to be selective in what I wear. Luckily, there are options, and I got to collaborate with two of my faves!

EQC & Co.

This cute little shop is owned and operated by NY student Allegra Peardon, who started making her own jewelry when everything she came across was too expensive (I feel ya, girl!). Every piece is made and packaged by hand, and with over 50 customization options there’s something for everyone. The beaded bracelets are perfect for every day with endless stacking options, and since they’re metal free (besides the charms) I can wear them for an extended amount of time. I’m more careful about how long I wear the gold-toned chevron bracelet but design-wise that’s my favorite of the bunch – it’s so cute and wearable for any occasion. I don’t put charms on my bridles, so the little swan charm resides on my keychain. We collaborated to create a limited edition orange bead bracelet with a fox charm, which turned out so cute! You can get yours here. The best part? These guys are all under $10, most under $6. Yes. Please.

Arbotique Designs

I found this gem of a shop on Etsy. I especially love her dainty bubble rings, which are hand-made from high quality materials like gold and sterling silver that are sensitive-skin approved, and did I mention only $12?? Arbotique is not an equestrian-specific store, but that didn’t stop us from creating something together! I wanted to do a simple horseshoe design, and owner/designer Jen Nelson whipped one up in a jiffy – how cool is that? I love stacking/mixing/matching all of my rings, and I still can’t get over their awesome prices. PS: you can use code THEHUNT15 for 15% off your order, and our horseshoe ring is available here! ????
